Here are a few things that you should keep in mind before finalizing the wedding invitation.

#Tip 1: Know your wedding style- Conventional or Traditional? Stylish or Simple? You must know the wedding style. This will help you to shop the wedding stationery according to your wedding style.

#Tip 2: Know Your Colors- Once you know the color of your wedding theme, it will be easy for you to incorporate those colors into your wedding invitation. While white, ivory and cream cards are the basic ones, you can choose bright colored cards with metallic or colorful fonts.  

#Tip 3: Experiment with Size and Shape- A rectangular shaped card, 4.5 inch by 6.25 inch, is the most traditional wedding invite. But, you can experiment by choosing modern vibes with scalloped, circular or square invitations.

#Tip 4: Ensure the Legibility: While choosing pattern and color, do not miss out the text. Do not use light ink if the background is light and do not use dark ink if the background is dark. If you are picking pastel and yellow color, make sure you choose a background accordingly.

#Tip 5: Avoid Over-Crowding- Do not fill in your card with unnecessary information. List only the main points such as ceremony location, time, couples’ name, host and RSVP information. Trying to squeeze lot of information, takes away the elegance of the wedding card.

#Tip 6: Order Extra- Make sure you order extra wedding invitation, since going back and printing more invitations will only add on to your cost.

#Tip 7: Stamp Your Invites- Amidst the wedding hush, you might miss out on putting a stamp on the invites. So, if you want your guests to mail you the reply card, put a stamp on the envelopes.
